In a significant development, gold prices in Pakistan surged to an all-time high on Tuesday, with an increase of Rs. 1,200 per tola.
According to the Karachi Sarafa Association, the price of 24-carat gold rose to Rs. 257,700 per tola. Additionally, the price for 10 grams increased by Rs. 1,029, reaching Rs. 220,936.
This new peak surpasses the previous record set on August 2, when gold prices hit Rs. 257,300 per tola. Despite a slight decline in prices last week, the market has rebounded strongly.
Meanwhile, in the international market, spot gold experienced a 0.4 percent drop, trading at $2,461.75 per ounce by 1052 GMT. However, it is noteworthy that gold prices had climbed 1.7 percent to a record closing high of $2,472 on Monday.
