In a notable rebound, the price of gold in Pakistan increased by Rs. 300 per tola on Friday, recovering from the previous day’s losses and reaching an all-time high.

According to the Karachi Sarafa Association, the price of 24-carat gold rose to Rs. 257,700 per tola. Similarly, the price for 10 grams of gold increased by Rs. 256, reaching Rs. 220,936.

The Sarafa Association noted in a brief statement that the local market price of gold remains Rs. 2,000 per tola below its actual cost, indicating a strategic pricing decision.

On the international front, spot gold saw a rise of 0.3 percent, trading at $2,462.82 per ounce as of 1002 GMT. Concurrently, US gold futures also experienced a 0.3 percent increase, reaching $2,500.50.
