The price of 24 karat gold increased by Rs. 2,100 per tola on Tuesday, reaching Rs. 349,200, up from Rs. 347,100 recorded on the previous trading day, according to the All Pakistan Sarafa Gems and Jewelers Association.

After reaching an all-time high of Rs. 363,700 per tola, gold prices have declined in recent weeks, including a drop of Rs. 1,600 reported yesterday.

The price of 10 grams of 24 karat gold also rose by Rs. 1,800 to Rs. 299,382 from Rs. 297,582, while the rate for 10 grams of 22 karat gold increased to Rs. 274,443 from Rs. 272,784.

Silver prices remained unchanged, with per tola and 10-gram rates steady at Rs. 3,497 and Rs. 2,998 respectively.

On the international market, gold prices rose by $21 to $3,310 per ounce from $3,289, while silver was priced at $32.97 per ounce, the Association reported.
