After a decline in the first two days of the week, gold prices in Pakistan saw an increase of Rs. 600 per tola on Wednesday. According to the All-Pakistan Gems and Jewellers Sarafa Association (APGJSA), the price of 24-carat gold rose to Rs. 275,500 per tola, while the price for 10 grams increased by Rs. 515, reaching Rs. 236,197.
The local market experienced a marginal drop in gold prices on Monday, followed by a Rs. 600 per tola decrease on Tuesday. However, Wednesday’s rebound reflects a shift in the market dynamics.
In the international market, spot gold fell by 0.4 percent to $2,652.62 per ounce by 0943 GMT. This decline followed a more than 1 percent surge on Tuesday, triggered by geopolitical tensions after Iran launched missile strikes on Israel. Meanwhile, US gold futures also saw a decrease of 0.6 percent, settling at $2,673.90.
