The price of gold in Pakistan continued its record-breaking ascent on Thursday, reaching Rs. 277,700 per tola. According to the Karachi Sarafa Association, the price of 24-carat gold increased by Rs. 1,500 per tola, while the price for 10 grams rose by Rs. 1,285 to Rs. 237,482.

This surge follows a significant increase earlier in the week, with gold prices rising by Rs. 1,100 per tola on Tuesday and an additional Rs. 2,500 per tola on Wednesday, setting a previous all-time high of Rs. 275,500 per tola.

In the international market, spot gold remained steady at $2,665 per ounce at the time of reporting. The substantial rise in gold prices, over Rs. 56,000 per tola since the beginning of the year, is largely attributed to increasing international prices.

Despite the soaring gold prices, silver remains an attractive option for investors, priced at Rs. 3,050 per tola.
