For the second consecutive day, gold prices in Pakistan have soared to a new all-time high. According to the All-Pakistan Gems and Jewellers Sarafa Association (APGJSA), the price of 24-carat gold increased by Rs. 700 per tola, reaching Rs. 277,900. Similarly, the price for 10 grams rose by Rs. 600, now standing at Rs. 238,254.

This surge follows a significant increase of Rs. 2,200 per tola, pushing the price to Rs. 277,200, surpassing the previous record of Rs. 277,000 per tola set in late September.

The rise in domestic gold prices mirrors trends in the international market, where spot gold increased by 0.2 percent to $2,678.13 per ounce as of 0934 GMT, after reaching a record high of $2,685.60. U.S. gold futures also saw a slight uptick, rising 0.1 percent to $2,693.60.
