On Monday, the price of gold in Pakistan edged closer to its all-time high, reaching Rs. 275,700 per tola. According to data from the Karachi Sarafa Association, the price of 24-carat gold increased by Rs. 200, while the price per 10 grams rose by Rs. 171 to Rs. 236,368.

In the international market, spot gold saw a modest increase of 0.1 percent, reaching $2,658.67 per ounce by 0944 GMT. Meanwhile, US gold futures remained steady at $2,676.

It is noteworthy that the price of gold in the local market hit a record high of Rs. 277,000 per tola towards the end of September. Since then, prices have remained within a narrow range, reflecting ongoing market dynamics.
