Gold prices in Pakistan moved higher on Wednesday, tracking an upward trend in the international market.

In the domestic bullion market, the price of gold per tola increased by Rs3,700 to settle at Rs543,262. Similarly, the rate for 10 grams of gold rose by Rs3,172, reaching Rs465,759, according to figures released by the All-Pakistan Gems and Jewellers Sarafa Association.

A day earlier, on Tuesday, the price of gold per tola had climbed by Rs6,200, closing at Rs539,562.

In the global market, gold prices also registered an increase, rising by $37 to reach $5,205 per ounce, which includes a premium of $20.

Meanwhile, silver prices in the local market remained unchanged at Rs9,354 per tola.
