The price of gold in Pakistan has increased for the fourth consecutive day this week, continuing its recovery from last week’s slump. According to the All-Pakistan Gems and Jewelers Sarafa Association (APGJSA), the price of 24-carat gold rose by Rs. 3,700 per tola, reaching Rs. 278,000. Meanwhile, the price for 10 grams increased by Rs. 3,172, bringing it to Rs. 238,340.

This week’s recovery follows significant losses last week, with gold prices rising by Rs. 800 per tola in the local market after earlier increases of Rs. 3,600 per tola on Tuesday and Rs. 2,500 per tola on Monday. In total, gold has risen by Rs. 10,600 per tola so far this week. Despite this upward trend, gold is still trading below its all-time high of Rs. 287,900 per tola.

On the international stage, gold prices also rose for the fourth straight session. Spot gold increased by 0.5 percent to $2,663.47 per ounce as of 0745 GMT, while US gold futures climbed 0.6 percent to $2,666.20. This international rise reflects a broader trend of increasing gold prices, contributing to the local market’s recovery.
