The price of gold in Pakistan soared to another all-time high on Wednesday, closing in on the Rs. 290,000 per tola milestone. According to data from the All-Sindh Sarafa Jewellers Association, the price of 24-carat gold jumped by Rs. 2,900, reaching Rs. 287,900 per tola.

Similarly, the rate for 10 grams rose by Rs. 2,486, now standing at Rs. 246,828.This latest surge surpasses the previous record high of Rs. 285,400, recorded just days earlier on October 23. Meanwhile, 22-carat gold also saw an increase, with the price for ten grams rising from Rs. 223,980 to Rs. 226,259, according to the Association.

Silver prices, however, remained unchanged, holding steady at Rs. 3,350 per tola and Rs. 2,872.08 for 10 grams.In the international market, gold prices also witnessed a significant increase, with the value of the precious metal climbing by $29, from $2,755 to $2,784.

This rise reflects global economic uncertainties driving the demand for gold, with impacts now felt strongly across local markets.
