Gold prices in Pakistan surged to an unprecedented high on Monday, with 24 karat per tola gold increasing by Rs. 1,100 to reach Rs. 314,800, according to the All Pakistan Sarafa Gems and Jewelers Association.
The precious metal, which was previously trading at Rs. 313,700, has now established a new record in the local market as global prices continue their upward trajectory.
Similarly, the price of 10 grams of 24-karat gold rose by Rs. 943, reaching Rs. 269,890 compared to the previous day’s rate of Rs. 268,947. The 22-karat variety also saw an increase of Rs. 865, climbing to Rs. 247,408 from Rs. 246,543.
Meanwhile, silver prices remained stable in the domestic market, with per-tola and ten gram rates holding steady at Rs. 3,530 and Rs. 3,026 respectively.
The local price surge follows movements in international markets, where gold prices increased by $13 to reach $2,997 per ounce, up from $2,984. International silver prices remained unchanged at $33.85 per ounce.
