Gold prices in Pakistan fell on Wednesday, tracking losses in the international market.
According to the All-Pakistan Gems and Jewellers Sarafa Association (APGJSA), the price of gold per tola dropped by Rs. 10,000, closing at Rs. 539,962. Meanwhile, 10-gram gold was sold at Rs. 462,930, down Rs. 8,573 from the previous day. On Tuesday, gold had already fallen by Rs. 13,900 per tola, reaching Rs. 549,962.
The international price of gold also declined, falling by $100 to $5,172 per ounce, with an additional premium of $20.
In contrast, silver prices edged higher, gaining Rs. 100 to close at Rs. 9,004 per tola, offering some relief to precious metal traders amid the broader downturn in the gold market.
