Gold prices in Pakistan saw a significant decline on Tuesday, reflecting a drop in international rates. According to the All-Pakistan Gems and Jewellers Sarafa Association (APGJSA), the price of gold per tola fell by Rs. 2,100, bringing it down to Rs. 274,900 in the local market.
Similarly, the price of 10-gram gold decreased by Rs1,800, settling at Rs235,682. This follows a smaller decline in the previous session, where gold prices dropped by Rs800 per tola. The international gold rate also experienced a decline on Monday. As per APGJSA, the global price of gold fell by $21, bringing it to $2,637 per ounce, which includes a $20 premium.
While gold prices fluctuated, silver rates in the local market remained steady at Rs3,400 per tola, with no changes reported.
