Gold prices in Pakistan moved higher on Monday, tracking continued strength in the global bullion market as international rates pushed well above the $5,000-per-ounce mark.

In the domestic market, the price of gold rose by Rs. 3,000 per tola, taking it to Rs. 536,562. Similarly, the price of 10 grams of gold increased by Rs. 2,572 to Rs. 460,015, according to figures released by the All-Pakistan Gems and Jewellers Sarafa Association.

The latest increase follows a sharp rally on Saturday, when gold surged by Rs. 7,100 per tola to close at Rs. 533,562.

In the international market, gold prices climbed $30 to reach $5,138 per ounce, including a $20 premium, providing fresh support to local rates.

Silver prices also extended gains, rising by Rs. 146 per tola to settle at Rs. 9,094.
