Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif met with a delegation from the Chinese space technology company GalaxySpace, led by its Chairman, Xu Ming.

The GalaxySpace delegation expressed deep interest in investing in Pakistan’s space technology industry.

The two sides also discussed avenues for collaboration in space technology, including satellite development, telecommunications, and satellite internet.

The prime minister emphasized the strategic importance Pakistan places on the development of its space technology sector. He reiterated that China remains Pakistan’s most reliable friend and strategic partner. He expressed Pakistan’s keen desire to enhance cooperation with China in various space-related domains.

The delegation discussed potential joint ventures with Pakistani space organizations and private telecom companies. The delegation noted the promising prospects for collaboration that could benefit both countries in advancing technological infrastructure.

Members of the Chinese delegation described their meetings with officials from the Ministry of Information Technology and Telecommunication and SUPARCO as highly productive. They appreciated the opportunities for dialogue and cooperation presented during their visit.

The meeting was also attended by Federal Minister for Economic Affairs Ahad Khan Cheema, Federal Minister for IT and Telecommunication Shaza Fatima, Prime Minister’s Adviser Dr. Tauqir Shah, and other senior officials from relevant departments. Secretary IT and Telecom Zarar Hashim, PTA Chairman Hafeez Rehman, and Member Telecom Muhammad Jahanzeb were also present.
