Federal Finance Minister Senator Muhammad Aurangzeb has voluntarily decided not to draw his salary from the government treasury.
According to an official notification from the Ministry of Finance, the minister has not taken any monthly salary since assuming office as Finance Minister and taking oath as a senator. He will continue this practice voluntarily in the future.
A signed letter from Senator Aurangzeb confirming his decision has been issued, and the Director of Finance has also formally informed the Cabinet Secretary. The notification clarifies that he will entirely forgo his salary as both a federal minister and a senator.
