Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has directed that salaries of federal government employees be released ahead of Eid-ul-Fitr 2026 to facilitate workers before the holiday.

Acting on the prime minister’s instructions, federal ministries and departments have been told to ensure that salary payments are made before the Eid holidays.

Officials said the directive has already been communicated to relevant departments, and arrangements are being made to process the payments in advance.
