The Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) has issued a Letter of Intent to Honda Atlas Cars (Pakistan) Limited for the procurement of 1,010 Honda City 1.2L CVT vehicles at an estimated cost of Rs. 6 billion. The purchase will be carried out in two phases, with delivery scheduled between January and May 2025.

According to FBR, an upfront payment of Rs. 3 billion will be made, covering the full cost of 500 vehicles and a partial payment for the remaining 510 units. The balance payment will be made after the delivery of the first batch of 500 vehicles. The initial payment will be processed upon receipt of the pre-receipted bill.

The delivery of vehicles will take place in phases:

  • January 2025: 75 vehicles
  • February 2025: 200 vehicles
  • March 2025: 225 vehicles
  • April 2025: 250 vehicles
  • May 2025: 260 vehicles

Value-Added Features

The procurement includes several value-added features at no additional cost, such as:

  • A navigation system with a reverse camera
  • High-grade interior
  • Free periodic maintenance for up to 20,000 km or 12 months
  • An extended warranty of four years or 100,000 km
  • A tracking system with a one-year service charge and a discounted subscription renewal fee
