The Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) has issued a directive requiring Customs and Inland Revenue Service officers to submit their Declaration of Assets by October 9, 2024. This requirement is in preparation for an upcoming Central Selection Board (CSB) meeting, which will consider promotions for officers in the Inland Revenue Service and Pakistan Customs Service from BS-19 to BS-20 and BS-20 to BS-21.
According to a notification from the FBR, the Establishment Division has announced that the CSB meeting is scheduled to take place soon, with promotion cases to be submitted by October 10. All BS-19 and BS-20 officers listed are urged to ensure their Performance Evaluation Reports (PERs) and Declaration of Assets, up to June 30, 2024, are submitted to the Board by the October 9 deadline.
Completing PERs and submitting Declaration of Assets are essential prerequisites for promotion to selection grades under the Civil Servants Promotion (BS-18 to BS-21) Rules, 2019. The FBR is making concerted efforts to ensure that all eligible officers are considered for promotion in the forthcoming CSB meeting.
The notification warns that any officer who fails to provide the required documents by the specified date will be personally responsible for any non-consideration, deferment, or supersession in the promotion process.
Additionally, Reporting and Countersigning Officers have been requested to promptly forward the PERs of the concerned officers to the Board’s ERM Section to avoid any delays.
