The Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) has announced an extension for corporate and non-corporate sales tax registered persons to integrate with the Board’s computerized system. The new deadlines are set for July 1, 2025, for corporate entities and August 1, 2025, for non-corporate entities.

In a directive issued to field formations on Tuesday, the FBR provided a one-month extension for the electronic integration of taxpayers. This decision is made under the powers conferred by Section 74 of the Sales Tax Act, 1990, and aims to facilitate compliance with the integration requirements outlined in Rule 150Q of the Sales Tax Rules, 2006.

The FBR emphasized the importance of this integration, which can be achieved through a license integrator or the Pakistan Revenue Automation Limited (PRAL). The extension is expected to assist registered persons in meeting the necessary requirements and ensuring a smoother transition to the computerized system.
