Dewan Motors, the official importer of BMW vehicles in Pakistan, has issued a public notification cautioning customers against purchasing BMW electric vehicles imported from the UK and Japan.
The company has observed an increase in the number of these vehicles being sold in the Pakistani market by unauthorized traders and dealers.
In the notification, Dewan Motors stated that these imported vehicles are designed and homologated exclusively for use in their respective markets and may not comply with local regulations and conditions in Pakistan.
As a result, these vehicles will not be covered under the official BMW warranty in Pakistan.
“To protect our customers and ensure their safety and security, we caution that these imported vehicles may not comply with local regulations and conditions,” stated Zaeem Ul Haque, Director of Operations at Dewan Motors.
“All BMW vehicles must meet local specifications to be eligible for warranty coverage. Since these imported vehicles are not homologated for use in the Pakistani market, they will not be covered under warranty,” he added.
Dewan Motors urges customers to purchase BMW vehicles only through their authorized dealer network to ensure they receive the full benefits, protections, and support available. The company reassures that vehicles bought through official channels will meet all local specifications and come with the necessary warranty coverage.
