China has expressed its willingness to expand cooperation with Pakistan across key sectors, including agriculture, industry, and mining, according to a statement released after a high-level meeting in Tianjin.

Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi, during talks with his Pakistani counterpart Ishaq Dar, reaffirmed Beijing’s commitment to strengthening economic collaboration. Wang Yi emphasized that China “supports Pakistan in carrying out its anti-terrorism operations” and voiced confidence that Pakistan would “do its utmost” to ensure the safety of Chinese personnel, projects, and institutions operating in the country.

The meeting comes as Pakistan’s Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar also met with Chinese President Xi Jinping, conveying “warm greetings” from Islamabad.
