The Capital City Police Officer (CCPO), Bilal Siddique Kamyana, has directed a citywide crackdown on massage centres, guesthouses, and hotels allegedly involved in unethical activities and social crimes. The move aims to curb practices that are seen as detrimental to society, particularly the youth.
Presiding over a high-level meeting on Tuesday, the CCPO tasked the Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Operations with spearheading the campaign to eliminate such activities. He emphasized the need to protect the younger generation from the harmful effects of these crimes.
The CCPO also issued directives for enhanced security arrangements ahead of Christmas and New Year celebrations. He stressed the importance of preventing illegal activities such as kite flying, aerial firing, and one-wheeling during the festive season.
In addition to targeting unethical activities, the CCPO ordered police teams to intensify operations against criminals involved in online drug sales, particularly in areas near educational institutions. He instructed the police to conduct regular search and combing operations in these zones to ensure the safety of students and the public.
Reiterating a zero-tolerance policy, the CCPO warned that there would be no compromise on corruption or misuse of authority within the police force. He urged officers to act with integrity and professionalism while carrying out their duties.
