The State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) has declared July 1, 2024 (Tuesday), as a bank holiday in observance of the first day of the new fiscal year 2025-26.
As a result, all banks, development finance institutions (DFIs), and microfinance banks (MFBs) will be closed for public dealings on this date. However, all employees of these financial institutions are required to report to work as usual.
In a statement, the SBP confirmed, “All banks/DFIs/MFBs shall remain closed for public dealing on the aforementioned date. However, employees of the banks/DFIs/MFBs will attend the office as usual.”
