The State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) has announced that it will remain closed on Wednesday, February 5, 2025, in observance of Kashmir Day, a public holiday declared by the Government of Pakistan.
In a circular issued on Tuesday, the central bank stated, “The State Bank of Pakistan will remain closed on Wednesday, February 5, 2025, being a public holiday on Kashmir Day, as declared by the Government of Pakistan.”
Commercial banks across the country will also remain closed on the occasion.
Kashmir Day is observed annually on February 5 to express solidarity with the people of Kashmir. The Cabinet Division has included the day in its official list of public holidays for 2025, ensuring that it will be observed nationwide.
