Pakistan has banned transit trade to India. The Ministry of Commerce has issued a Statutory Regulatory Order (SRO) prohibiting the import, export, and transit of Indian goods through transit trade. As per the SRO, the transit trade of Indian goods via sea, land, and air routes is now prohibited.

The order also restricts the shipment of Indian goods by third countries through Pakistan via sea, land, and air.

Furthermore, the export of Pakistani goods to India through transit trade via sea, land, and air routes is also banned under the SRO.

The Ministry of Commerce clarified that the ban will not apply to imports and exports for which Letters of Credit (LCs) have already been issued.
