Air Link Communication Limited (PSX: AIRLINK) has announced plans to purchase industrial land worth Rs. 572 million, the company disclosed in a filing to the Pakistan Stock Exchange on Tuesday.
According to the filing, Air Link will acquire a 3-acre industrial plot, while its wholly-owned subsidiary, Select Technologies (Pvt.) Limited, will purchase an additional 5-acre industrial plot. Both plots are located in the Sundar Green Special Economic Zone in Lahore. The combined value of these acquisitions is Rs. 572 million.
The company stated that the acquisitions are part of its strategy to meet current and future expansion needs. Additionally, the move will allow Air Link to benefit from the incentives provided under the Special Economic Zones Act, 2012.
“These acquisitions are aimed at facilitating our current and future expansion needs and entitling us to all the applicable benefits as provided under the Special Economic Zones Act, 2012,” the company said in its statement.
Air Link Communication is involved in the import, export, distribution, wholesale, and retail of communication and IT-related products and services. Its portfolio includes cellular mobile phones, smartphones, tablets, laptops, accessories, and other allied products.
