Easypaisa users have reported being charged Rs. 99 for each failed biometric verification attempt with NADRA, despite the absence of any regulatory justification for the fee. One user shared that they were charged multiple times after unsuccessful attempts to match their fingerprints.

The notification received by users following a failed verification states:

“Your fingerprints could not be matched against your CNIC from NADRA. Please ensure that you are scanning your own fingerprints with a clear background. You can also get your account biometrically verified by visiting your nearest retailer. Fee of Rs. 99 was deducted from your account.”

This charge has raised concerns among users, as there appears to be no clear regulatory explanation for imposing such a fee.

Easypaisa has not yet issued a statement regarding this. Updates will be provided as soon as the company issues a statement.
