On Wednesday, gold prices in Pakistan surged to a new all-time high, with an increase of Rs. 300 per tola. According to the Karachi Sarafa Association, the price of 24-carat gold climbed to Rs. 261,000 per tola, while the rate for 10 grams rose by Rs. 257, reaching Rs. 223,765.
This follows a significant rise on Tuesday, when the price of gold in the local market jumped by Rs. 700 per tola, setting a previous record at Rs. 260,700 per tola.
Meanwhile, in the international market, gold prices experienced a slight decline after reaching record highs the previous day. Spot gold decreased by 0.4 percent to $2,504.89 per ounce as of 0952 GMT, and US gold futures saw a 0.3 percent drop to $2,543.00.
