The Lahore Development Authority (LDA) intensified its crackdown on illegal constructions, unauthorized commercial use, and commercial fee defaulters, sealing a total of 47 properties across the city on Wednesday.
In Gulshan Ravi, LDA teams sealed 25 properties in Blocks A, B, C, G, E, F, M, and the Civic Center due to non-payment of commercial fees. The operation targeted properties that had failed to comply with multiple notices regarding their outstanding dues.
Simultaneously, Town Planning Zone II conducted an operation in Mustafa Town and Allama Iqbal Town, sealing 22 properties. These included private schools, marriage halls, offices, pharmacies, academies, shops, and clinics, all of which were defaulters of millions of rupees in commercialization fees.
The operations were carried out under the supervision of Chief Town Planner One Asad Zaman, Director Town Planning Zone One Ayesha Matahir, and Director Town Planning Zone Two. The LDA had issued multiple notices to the defaulters before taking action.
These efforts are part of a broader initiative led by DG LDA Tahir Farooq to enforce regulations and ensure compliance across Lahore. The LDA has vowed to continue its actions against illegal constructions and commercial fee defaulters to maintain order and uphold the city’s development standards.
