According to the Karachi Sarafa Association, the price of 24-carat gold fell by Rs. 300 per tola, settling at Rs. 256,500. Similarly, the price of 10 grams of gold decreased by Rs. 258, bringing it down to Rs. 219,907.
Last Friday, gold prices in the local market soared to a record high of Rs. 257,300 per tola. However, the prices began to decline the following day, reflecting a slight easing in the market.
In the international market, spot gold experienced a 2 percent drop, trading at $2,393.66 an ounce by 1139 GMT. Meanwhile, US gold futures also saw a decline, falling 1.4 percent to $2,434.10.
