The government has reduced petrol and high-speed diesel (HSD) prices for the next fortnight, bringing petrol down by Rs. 3.40 per litre and diesel by Rs. 7.76 per litre.

Under the revised rates, petrol will cost Rs. 374.51 per litre, down from Rs. 377.91, while diesel will be available at Rs. 395.20 per litre compared to Rs. 402.96 previously.

The new prices will take effect from November 3, 2026.

According to a notification issued by the Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA) on Monday, the government revised petroleum product prices under the existing pricing mechanism.

This is the first reduction in petrol prices after the government maintained its rate at Rs. 377.91 per litre in previous revisions.

OGRA attributed the latest adjustments to changes in international oil prices, Platts rates, premiums and other costs.

The reduction comes just days after the government raised diesel prices by Rs. 2.29 per litre on Friday, taking the rate to Rs. 402.96 from Rs. 400.67. Petrol prices were kept unchanged at Rs. 377.91 per litre at the time.
