The Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA) has intensified monitoring of telecom services across Pakistan to improve mobile network coverage, voice call quality, and internet performance.

From October 8 to 14, 2026, PTA teams from its 10 zonal offices visited areas in Thatta, Dera Ghazi Khan, Mandi Bahauddin, Quetta, Faisalabad, and Gilgit-Baltistan to assess service quality and identify problems faced by consumers.

Following the inspections, telecom operators were instructed to address issues related to network coverage, voice calls, and internet services within specified deadlines.

PTA also confirmed that a problem involving the closure of a telecom site in Faisalabad had been resolved.

The authority said it would continue coordinating with telecom operators, local administrations, and other relevant organizations to improve network performance and provide more reliable telecom services nationwide.
