India Threatens Pakistan With Bigger Military Strike After Any New Attack
Indian Defence Minister Rajnath Singh has warned that India could launch a larger military operation against Pakistan if another terrorist attack is traced to Pakistani territory.
Speaking at the Times Network National Defence Conclave in New Delhi on Thursday, October 15, Singh said any future attack blamed on Pakistan would invite a stronger military response.
He referred to India’s 2016 surgical strikes, the 2019 Balakot airstrikes and Operation Sindoor as examples of its military actions against alleged cross-border terrorism.
Singh said India had moved beyond diplomatic condemnation and was prepared to take direct military action against suspected militant targets.
He added that India’s commitment to peace should not be seen as a sign of weakness. While New Delhi supported dialogue and peaceful solutions, he said it remained prepared to use military force to protect its sovereignty and national interests.
India’s Ministry of Defence subsequently reiterated the warning in an official statement, saying any future attack attributed to Pakistan could prompt a stronger response.
