Pakistan’s goods exports jumped 17.6 percent year-on-year to $2.94 billion in September 2026, while exports also surged 16.1 percent month-on-month from $2.53 billion in August.
The latest figures mean Pakistan exported around $410 million more goods in September than in the previous month, highlighting a sharp acceleration in export activity.
During the first quarter of FY27, goods exports reached $8.42 billion, up 10.8 percent from the same period last year. This represents nearly $825 million in additional exports compared with 1QFY26.
The growth was also spread across major export sectors.
Agri and food exports increased 23 percent year-on-year during the first quarter, while manufacturing, mining and energy exports rose 17 percent. Textiles and apparel exports posted 6 percent growth.
September recorded particularly strong gains in some sectors. Agri and food exports surged 62 percent year-on-year, while manufacturing exports increased 35 percent month-on-month.
Another positive development was that export growth outpaced import growth in September on both a year-on-year and month-on-month basis.
The latest performance points to stronger export momentum at the start of FY27, with Pakistan recording double-digit growth during the first quarter and a particularly strong jump in September.
