Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has praised the NAB chairman and his team for identifying land worth trillions of rupees and initiating efforts to recover it through legal channels.
Speaking virtually at the Pakistan Stock Exchange during the formal gong ceremony marking the listing of Naya Nazimabad Apartments, Shehbaz said the land had allegedly been lost through corruption and coercion.
The prime minister said the recovery effort involved land worth not billions but trillions of rupees. He thanked the NAB chairman and his team for working to bring the assets back in accordance with the law.
Shehbaz also credited Chief of Defence Forces and Chief of Army Staff Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir for his contribution to the initiative.
He said Asim Munir had worked as a strong partner in the effort and praised his commitment to the process.
The prime minister said Pakistan would emerge as a powerful economy on the global map and expressed hope that the country’s international respect and standing would rise significantly.
