The Pakistani rupee extended its winning streak against the US Dollar for the 252nd consecutive day on Thursday, while making stronger gains against the Euro and British Pound.
The rupee closed at 277.10 per US Dollar, strengthening by 1.22 paisas during the day.
At its current pace, the rupee could enter the 276 range within the next two weeks, provided the recent trend continues.
The local currency has remained on a consistent upward trajectory against the US Dollar since December 25, 2025.
Euro, Pound Fall Against Rupee
The rupee posted its biggest gains against the Euro and British Pound among the major currencies tracked on Thursday.
The Euro fell by Rs1.80 to 312.83, while the British Pound declined by Rs1.51 to 366.32.
The rupee also strengthened by 99 paisas against the Australian Dollar to 192.31 and by 91 paisas against the Canadian Dollar to 194.52.
It gained 8.61 paisas against the Malaysian Ringgit and 0.18 paisa against the Chinese Yuan.
The UAE Dirham and Saudi Riyal remained broadly stable, declining by 0.33 paisa and 0.12 paisa, respectively.
