The government has reduced the prices of petrol and high-speed diesel (HSD) for the third consecutive day under the latest daily fuel price revision.

Petrol has become cheaper by 14 paisa, bringing its price down to Rs387.40 per litre. The price of high-speed diesel has been reduced by Rs1.89 to Rs400.35 per litre.

The latest reduction follows two consecutive cuts earlier this week. On September 29, petrol was reduced by Rs1.49 to Rs387.54 per litre, while diesel fell by Rs2.73 to Rs402.24 per litre.

On September 28, petrol was priced at Rs389.03 per litre and diesel at Rs404.97 per litre.

The latest revision takes the cumulative increase in petrol prices since the start of the daily pricing mechanism to Rs76.69 per litre, while diesel has risen by Rs77.05 per litre.
