The Pakistani rupee continued its winning run against the US dollar on Monday, marking its 249th consecutive session of gains.
The rupee closed at Rs. 277.1537 per dollar, improving by 0.0081 rupee, or around one paisa, from the previous close of Rs. 277.1618.
The latest move keeps the rupee on track toward the 276 level against the dollar. If the current trend continues, the rupee could potentially enter the 276 range in October 2026.
The rupee has remained on a consistent upward trend against the dollar since December 25, 2025.
Other Currencies
The rupee weakened against the British pound, with the pound rising by around 70 paisas to Rs. 367.6029.
Against the euro, the rupee strengthened by around 34 paisas, with the euro falling to Rs. 315.4010.
The rupee also gained around 20 paisas against the Australian dollar and 13 paisas against the Canadian dollar.
The Chinese yuan was almost unchanged, while the rupee weakened against the Malaysian ringgit.
Against the UAE dirham, the rupee was largely stable. It weakened by around 1.45 paisas against the Saudi riyal.
