The Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) is set to auction another property in Bahria Town to recover outstanding tax dues of around Rs. 26.4 billion.
The auction notice issued by the Large Taxpayers Office (LTO), Islamabad, covers a 32-kanal and 11-marla property in Bahria Golf City, Rawalpindi, along with the constructed house/built-up area on the site.
The property is located at Plot No. 1, Street No. R2A, Bahria Golf City, Mauza Salkhater, Tehsil and District Rawalpindi.
The auction has been scheduled for October 6, 2026, under the applicable provisions of the Income Tax Ordinance, 2001 and Income Tax Rules, 2002.
The FBR is conducting the sale as part of its tax-recovery proceedings against a defaulter with outstanding liabilities of approximately Rs. 26.4 billion.
Bahria Golf City is a development of Bahria Town, which is associated with businessman Malik Riaz. However, the auction notice for this particular property should be relied upon for establishing its registered ownership.
The latest move comes after the FBR stepped up enforcement against Bahria Town-related assets over tax liabilities linked to tax years 2020 and 2022.
The tax authority has previously targeted other major properties associated with the group. A 527-kanal and 10-marla property in Murree went through multiple auction attempts before being sold in July 2026.
FBR also previously auctioned a Bahria Town property on Park Road in Islamabad for around Rs. 2.05 billion.
FBR Auction Is Separate From NAB Proceedings
The latest FBR action is separate from property auctions conducted by the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) in connection with its proceedings involving Bahria Town.
In June 2025, NAB announced the auction of several Bahria Town-related properties, including corporate offices on Park Road, Rawalpindi, Rubaish Marquee and Lawn in Islamabad, Arena Cinema, Bahria Town International Academy and Safari Club.
Those auctions were linked to recovery under the National Accountability Ordinance, 1999, while the latest sale is being conducted by FBR specifically for tax recovery.
The October 6 auction will not automatically result in the property’s transfer. A qualifying bid must be received and accepted under the applicable recovery procedure before the sale is finalized.
The latest auction adds another significant Bahria Town-linked property to the assets being pursued by government authorities for recovery of outstanding amounts.
