The body of a foreign tourist who went missing while returning from Musa Ka Mussala has been recovered from Nala Paracha which is linked to Dhor, according to Rescue Service 1122 Mansehra.

The body was recovered during an ongoing search operation carried out by teams comprising Rescue 1122, police, the Forest Department and local residents.

Further details regarding the incident will be released shortly, a spokesperson for Rescue Service 1122 Mansehra said.

The recovery follows the disappearance of an Irish mountaineer who went missing while descending the more than 13,500-foot-high Musa ka Mussala peak in Siran Valley amid rough weather, prompting a search operation by police, law enforcement agencies, and Rescue 1122.

SP Central Shahnawaz Khan said the missing climber, identified as Alexander, had traveled to Siran Valley with British national Alun David Cooper Cledwyn to summit the peak.

According to Khan, the two mountaineers reached a resort in Mandachucha after visiting Gilgit-Baltistan and spent Friday night there. They began their climb the following morning and successfully reached the summit.

However, the two decided to take separate walking tracks while descending in rainy weather in an attempt to make the return journey more adventurous.

Cledwyn managed to reach the Mandachucha resort safely on Sunday, while Alexander failed to return and remained missing.

Khan said the two foreign mountaineers had traveled to Siran Valley to climb Musa Da Mussala without obtaining a no-objection certificate from the police and other relevant departments.

Following reports of the disappearance, Khan reached Siran Valley with five teams and led a joint search operation involving police, other law enforcement agencies, and Rescue 1122.
