The Pakistan Meteorological Department’s Flood Forecasting Division has issued a weather warning for the night of September 1 and September 2. Moderate to heavy monsoon rains may affect Khyber, Swat, Kohistan, Buner, Abbottabad, Mansehra, Haripur, Murree, Galiyat, Gilgit-Baltistan and Kashmir, with a risk of landslides.

Heavy rainfall may also cause flooding in streams and local waterways in Mardan, Swabi, Peshawar, Islamabad/Rawalpindi, Gujranwala and nearby areas.

Authorities have advised residents in vulnerable areas to remain alert and take necessary precautions.
