Mari Energies Limited has received approval from the Federal Government to renew its Mari Development and Production Lease in Ghotki, Sindh, allowing it to continue exploration and development activities in the area.

In a notice to the Pakistan Stock Exchange on Friday, the company said the government approved the lease renewal under the applicable rules and conditions.

The renewed lease will be effective until November 10, 2065, according to the company.

Mari Energies is the operator of the lease and holds a 100% working interest in it.

The company said the renewal will enable it to continue investing in exploration and development activities aimed at sustaining and increasing production from the field.

According to Mari Energies, these efforts will support Pakistan’s energy and food security.
