The federal government has announced another reduction in petrol and high-speed diesel (HSD) prices, marking the second consecutive decrease under the daily fuel pricing mechanism, according to the latest rates issued by the Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA).
Petrol prices have been reduced by Rs. 4.08 per litre, bringing the new price down to Rs. 331.95 per litre. The price of high-speed diesel has also been cut by Rs. 2.45 per litre to Rs. 389.93 per litre.
The latest decrease follows Friday’s revision, when petrol prices were lowered by Rs. 0.12 per litre to Rs. 336.03 per litre, while diesel prices were reduced by Rs. 0.66 per litre to Rs. 392.38 per litre.
The reductions come amid a decline in global oil prices, although domestic fuel prices have not fully reflected international market movements due to taxes, exchange rate factors, and other pricing components.

Despite the recent cuts, fuel prices remain higher than pre-daily pricing levels. Since the daily fuel rate updates began, petrol has increased by Rs. 21.24 per litre, while diesel has climbed by Rs. 66.63 per litre.
