Pakistan Telecommunication Company Limited (PTCL) has approved the submission of a binding offer to acquire a majority stake in an unidentified company, the telecom giant informed the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX) on Wednesday, though it kept the target’s identity and the price tag firmly under wraps.
The decision was taken during a board meeting held on July 30, 2026, according to a notice filed with the bourse.
PTCL cautioned that the proposed transaction remains far from a done deal, contingent on successful negotiations, completion of due diligence, execution of definitive transaction documents, and the receipt of all required corporate, regulatory, and statutory approvals and consents.
The company said the commercial consideration and other key terms of the transaction are still being finalised, adding that no definitive agreement has been executed at this stage.
PTCL assured the stock exchange that it will keep investors informed of any material developments related to the proposed acquisition as they unfold.
