Lt. (R) Ahmed Mohiuddin, a BS-19 officer of the Police Service of Pakistan (PSP) who is widely recognized on social media, has been granted premature retirement from government service.

An Establishment Division notification issued on July 29, 2026, states that the competent authority approved his request for early retirement with immediate effect. At the time of his retirement, Ahmed Mohiuddin was serving under the Government of Punjab.

The notification further says that the unutilized portion of his Ex-Pakistan leave on half-average pay, which had been sanctioned through a notification dated June 2, 2026, has also been withdrawn with immediate effect.

Ahmed Mohiuddin has built a strong online presence through his views on policing, public administration, and governance, making him one of the more recognizable serving police officers on social media.

While the notification confirms the approval of his retirement request, it does not mention any reason behind his decision. Social media users have widely reacted to the development, but no official explanation has been provided by either the officer or the government.
