Gold prices in Pakistan fell sharply on Tuesday, tracking losses in the international market, with the price of one tola dropping by Rs4,300.
According to the All-Pakistan Gems and Jewellers Sarafa Association (APGJSA), the price of 24-karat gold settled at Rs427,436 per tola, down from Monday’s level.
The price of 10 grams of gold also declined by Rs3,687 to Rs366,457.
A day earlier, gold had surged by Rs4,000 per tola to close at Rs431,736.
In the international market, gold prices fell by $43 to $4,050 per ounce, including a premium of $20, weighing on domestic rates.
Silver prices also moved lower, with the price per tola decreasing by Rs174 to Rs6,223.
