Iran’s Interior Minister, Dr. Eskandar Momeni, is expected to visit Pakistan next week for high-level talks focused on strengthening bilateral cooperation on security, trade and regional developments, diplomatic sources told ProPakistani.

During the visit, Momeni is scheduled to meet Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi to discuss expanding cooperation between the two neighbouring countries across multiple areas.

According to diplomatic sources, both sides will review measures to boost bilateral trade while discussing border management, counterterrorism and broader regional security issues.

The ministers are also expected to assess the regional situation following the recent ceasefire and exchange views on its implications for Pakistan, Iran and the wider region.

The visit will include discussions on enhancing coordination between the interior ministries, with a focus on improving cooperation in cybersecurity, immigration, law enforcement and other areas of mutual interest.

The meeting is expected to further strengthen security coordination and deepen bilateral engagement between Islamabad and Tehran as both countries seek closer cooperation on shared regional challenges.
