Gold prices in Pakistan continued to rise on Thursday, tracking gains in the international bullion market.
According to the All Pakistan Gems and Jewellers Sarafa Association (APGJSA), the price of 24-karat gold increased by Rs. 400 per tola to Rs. 425,436. The price of 10 grams of gold also rose by Rs. 434, reaching Rs. 364,742.
The latest increase follows Wednesday’s gain of Rs. 900 per tola, when gold settled at Rs. 425,036.
In the global market, spot gold advanced by $4 to $4,030 per ounce, including a premium of $20, providing support to domestic prices.
Meanwhile, silver moved in the opposite direction. The price of silver fell by Rs. 134 per tola, taking the domestic rate down to Rs. 6,155 per tola.
