Pakistan’s Arslan “Arslan Ash” Siddique claimed the Tekken 8 championship at Evo 2026 in Las Vegas, defeating South Korea’s Rangchu in the grand final to secure a record eighth Evo title.
Arslan emerged victorious in a field of 1,355 competitors, earning $28,000 (around Rs. 7.8 million), which accounted for 40 percent of the tournament’s prize pool.
Throughout the final, Arslan relied on a disciplined defensive game plan, effectively countering Rangchu’s aggressive playstyle and capitalizing on key openings to seal the championship.
The victory also awarded him 800 Tekken World Tour (TWT) points and a direct qualification spot for the Tekken World Tour Finals 2026. Representing Twisted Minds, Arslan used Nina and Kunimitsu during his title-winning campaign.
Pakistan also celebrated another strong result as Qasim Meer finished in sixth place. Representing The Vicious, he earned $4,200 (approximately Rs. 1.1 million) along with 220 TWT points, securing qualification for the Esports World Cup 2026.
Arslan’s championship and Meer’s top-six finish gave Pakistan two representatives among Evo 2026’s best performers, underlining the country’s continued strength in the global Tekken scene.
